108 Bead Mala – Lapis
About this piece
A mala of 108 lapis beads in deep midnight blue, flecked with the occasional glint of gold like stars scattered across a night sky. It has a rich, jewel-like colour that makes it look as good around the neck as it does in the hand.
Lapis lazuli was prized in ancient Egypt as a stone of wisdom and truth, and it is still associated with thoughtful speech and inner vision. It makes an inspired gift for a student, writer or teacher, or for anyone drawn to deep blues.
Use it in the morning before the day begins, or last thing at night, moving your thumb along one bead per breath. Between sessions, wear it as a long necklace or coil it in a dish on your altar or bedside table.
