What are the seven chakras?
In yogic tradition, the chakras are seven energy centres running from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, each with its own colour: root (red), sacral (orange), solar plexus (yellow), heart (green), throat (blue), third eye (indigo) and crown (violet). Many people use colour, crystals and sound to focus on each one in turn.
Chakra crystals and jewellery
A chakra crystal set gathers one stone for each centre, often red jasper, carnelian, citrine, aventurine, sodalite, lapis lazuli and amethyst, ready to lay out in a line during meditation. A chakra bracelet carries all seven colours, a gentle everyday reminder to stay centred.
Chakra singing bowls and sound
Each chakra singing bowl is decorated for one centre and comes with a striker and cushion. Play one bowl for the centre you want to focus on, or build a set over time. Read how to use a singing bowl to get started.
Questions and answers
Which crystals go with each chakra?
A common pairing is red jasper for the root, carnelian for the sacral, citrine for the solar plexus, green aventurine or rose quartz for the heart, sodalite for the throat, lapis lazuli for the third eye and amethyst or clear quartz for the crown.
How do I use a chakra crystal set?
Lie down and place each stone on its matching point, from the base of the spine to the crown, then rest and breathe slowly for ten minutes. Many people pair this with a singing bowl or soft music.
Do chakra singing bowls come with a striker?
Yes, our chakra singing bowls come with a wooden striker and a cushion, so they are ready to play straight away and make a lovely gift.
