About this piece
A handmade terracotta vase with a bamboo motif, standing in a tall, straight line. The surface is painted in neutral white, cream and black, and the pattern echoes the bamboo stems it is named for.
It was made by hand on the island of Lombok, in the tradition of Indonesian pottery, and the pattern draws on natural motifs from the region's cultural heritage. Each vase is individual, so shapes and painting vary slightly. A beautiful gift for a collector of pottery or someone fond of tall, graphic forms.
Place it on a hall table, a mantel or a sunny windowsill, and fill it with dried flowers, pampas grass or stems in a glass jar. Terracotta is porous and these vases are not waterproof, so keep fresh water in a separate liner.
