About this piece
A small skull carved from a natural calcite geode, standing about 4.5cm tall, with the crystalline hollow of the geode glittering within the carving. Its colours and patterns come from the stone itself, so each skull has its own character.
Skulls have been carved from stone for centuries and are a long-standing symbol of memory, mortality and the passing of time, which gives this little piece an air of quiet mystery. It makes a fun, unusual gift for a collector of minerals, a lover of gothic décor or anyone who enjoys a conversation piece.
Display it on a desk, shelf or altar where the light can reach the crystals, or tuck it into a mineral collection. Dust it gently with a soft brush, and keep it away from water.
