Happy Drum Tongue Drum – 7 Chakra, 18cm
About this piece
A Happy Drum with seven chakra symbols, 18cm across, in metal and iron. Each tongue is tuned to its own note, and together they make a soft, ringing sound that hangs in the air like a bell. It weighs 4kg and sits steadily on a table or lap.
Tongue drums like this are played with the fingertips or soft mallets, and each tuned tongue gives a different note. It is a friendly gift for beginners as well as musicians, for a meditation corner, or for someone who loves quiet sound. The seven chakras are the energy centres of yogic tradition, and many people enjoy playing a note for each as part of a quiet moment.
Rest it on your lap or a soft surface, and tap each tongue gently with your fingertips, letting the notes ring. Play slowly, with a steady breath, and keep it dry.
