About this piece
A playful fish-shaped soap dish carved from warm hemu wood, perfect for anyone who loves a touch of whimsy in the bathroom. Its slatted design lifts your soap up so it drains and dries between washes.
Fish have long been symbols of abundance and good fortune in folk art, and this little dish brings a cheerful, coastal note to the basin. Made from hemu wood, a sustainable timber from the Guger tree in China, it is individually wrapped in paper. Paired with a soap slice, it makes a charming gift for a sea lover, a child's bathroom or a beach-house shelf.
Place it by the basin, bath or kitchen sink and rest your soap on top after each use. Rinse now and then and let it dry in the air. Your handmade soaps will stay firm and last longer.
