Hop Hare Big Enamelled Square Box – Lion & Snakes
About this piece
A lion and a pair of snakes are painted in vivid enamel across the lid, a bold, theatrical scene for a statement box. The Hop Hare enamelled square box is crafted from mango wood, and the glossy finish catches the light as you move.
The lion has long stood for courage and pride, and the snakes for transformation and renewal, making this a design with real character. Because the wood is natural, every box has its own grain and tone. It makes an eye-catching gift for a friend with a love of folklore and symbolism.
Its generous size suits a dressing table or altar, with room for jewellery, tarot cards, crystals or keepsakes. Keep it on view as a decorative piece, or use it to tuck away the small things that matter. Wipe clean with a dry cloth and avoid soaking the wood.
