Holy Basil incense powder, with a green, herbal and faintly peppery fragrance that is sweet and sacred at once. It is fresh and earthy, like a handful of leaves crushed between the fingers.

Holy basil, or tulsi, is revered in Indian tradition and often grown beside the home as a sacred plant. This powder is shaped in a mould and lit as a small mound, a fitting scent for an altar, a meditation space or a gift for someone who loves herbal ritual.

Prepare a heat-resistant burner or holder, fill the mould with incense powder, then gently lift it away to leave a small mound on the plate. Light the powder, let it catch briefly, then blow out the flame and allow the smoke to drift. Never leave a flame or burning incense unattended.
