Iron Ritual Goblet – Pentagram, 20 x 11cm
About this piece
An iron ritual goblet standing 20cm tall and 11cm across, with a bold pentagram on the bowl. It weighs about 3kg, so it sits firmly on an altar, and the plain, dark metal lets the symbol do all the talking.
The pentagram is one of the most recognised symbols of protection, balance and grounding, with each point traditionally standing for an element and the fifth for spirit. A goblet is the classic altar tool for the element of water, used to hold an offering of water, wine or juice at a ritual. It is a good gift for a Wiccan, pagan or folk-magic friend, particularly at a handfasting or a solstice.
Place it on the altar's western side, the traditional quarter of water, and fill it with an offering for a seasonal ritual. Iron can rust if left damp, so empty and dry it after each use, and display it as an altar chalice.
