About this piece
A small heart-shaped konjac sponge in soft lavender, plump and light once it has soaked up water. It looks lovely on the edge of the basin or tucked into a gift.
Konjac sponges are made from the vegetable fibres of the konjac root, and in Japan they have been used for over 100 years as bath sponges, even for newborn babies, because of their soft texture. The sponge holds water well, creating a buffer layer between the fibre and your skin. It is a sweet gift for a friend, a mum or a Valentine.
Soak the sponge in warm water until it softens and swells, then use gently with or without cleanser. Rinse well and hang to dry between uses.
