Natural Bamboo Wind Chime – 6 Large Tubes
About this piece
Six large bamboo tubes in a natural finish, hung close enough to touch, so that every gust sets off a cascade of warm, hollow notes. With more tubes than the four-tube styles, this chime has a fuller, busier voice that rolls and settles like a small wooden conversation.
Handcrafted in Indonesia from sustainable bamboo, it brings a garden, balcony or doorway to life without any batteries or fuss. Bamboo chimes are loved for their gentle, earthy sound, which is a world away from sharp metal ringing. They are a good gift for a bird-table gardener, someone with a new patio, or a friend who is always out in the fresh air.
Choose a spot with a little breeze, such as an open porch, a tree branch or a bright window, and allow a hand's width of space around the tubes so they can swing and meet. Indoors, they make a restful companion for a reading corner or meditation space. A dry, sheltered position keeps the bamboo at its best.
