About this piece
A handmade carving in parasite wood showing a bird perched above a little scene of mushrooms, with a bee in flight beside it. Smooth carved surfaces sit against raw, rough parasite wood, and the layers give the piece height and depth.
The woodland scene belongs to British folk tradition as much as any other: birds, bees and mushrooms are the small creatures of hedgerow and forest floor. It makes a charming gift for a nature lover, a gardener or anyone who likes a little woodland magic on a shelf.
Set it on a shelf, mantelpiece or windowsill, or among your plants. Each piece is carved from natural wood, so the shape and grain are slightly different every time. Dust it with a soft brush.
