About this piece
A soap dish made by hand from petrified wood in dark browns and near-black, with a smoothly polished top and raw, natural edges. A practical dimple holds your soap bar so it sits neatly.
Petrified wood is timber that has turned to mineral over a very long time, and that makes it a hard-wearing, timeless material. The polished surface against raw edges gives each dish a distinctive look, and no two are exactly alike. The photo shows an example colour scheme. It makes a smart gift for a new bathroom or kitchen sink.
Rest your soap bar in the dimple beside the basin or bath, and wipe the dish dry now and then to keep it looking its best. It also works as a tray for a ring or a small candle.
