About this piece
A whitewashed mango wood box with an Aztec-style pattern on the lid, geometric and graphic against the pale finish. It looks bold on a shelf, and understated in a drawer.
Bold geometric pattern has long been a feature of Mesoamerican art and craft, so this is an apt gift for anyone who loves graphic, ancient-feeling design. Mango wood is natural, so grain and finish vary slightly from box to box.
Keep it on a dressing table or altar for rings, earrings and small crystals. The pale finish pairs well with wood, linen and stone, and the box slips easily into a drawer or a gift bag. Wipe with a dry cloth and avoid soaking, and add a little tissue inside if you are giving it as a present.
