About this piece
A whitewashed mango wood box with a Slavic-style design on the lid, folk-art flowers and patterns in a pale, chalky finish. It feels at home beside dried flowers and candles.
Slavic folk patterns are rooted in village craft and are often associated with protection and good luck, so this is a lovely gift for a lover of folk art. Mango wood is natural, so grain and finish vary slightly from box to box.
Keep it on a dressing table or altar for rings, earrings and small crystals. The pale finish pairs well with wood, linen and stone, and the box slips easily into a drawer or a gift bag. Wipe with a dry cloth and avoid soaking, and add a little tissue inside if you are giving it as a present.
