Ball Top Glass Terrarium on Dark Tung Wood – Large
About this piece
A tall, large glass terrarium, about 16 x 32cm, crowned with a spherical ball top and set on a dark tung wood base. Its height gives you room to build a layered miniature landscape that rises like a tiny forest.
Growing plants under glass has delighted gardeners since Victorian times, and terrariums remain one of the most relaxing creative projects there is. Arrange mosses, small plants, stones and crystals to create your own scene. The dark wood base adds a sophisticated finish. It makes a lovely gift for a plant lover, a student or anyone with a small home and a big love of green.
Layer gravel, soil and moss, add small plants and decorative stones, then place the glass top over your design. Keep in bright, indirect light and mist lightly as needed.
