Brass Verdigris Tibetan Burner – Four Symbols Square Pot

About this piece

A square brass incense burner standing on four feet, with an artfully aged verdigris finish that gives it the look of a treasured antique. Each side is adorned with one of the four celestial creatures: the dragon, phoenix, tiger and tortoise.

In Tibetan and wider East Asian tradition, these four guardians represent the four cardinal directions, the elements and four virtues, a powerful symbol of balance and protection for any home. Handcrafted in India from brass, it's a striking piece for an altar, yoga studio or meditation room. It makes a memorable gift for a collector of sacred objects.

Burn cones, resin on charcoal or short incense in the pot, setting it on a heat-proof surface away from anything flammable. The brass will become hot, so handle with care, and never leave a burning burner unattended.
