A long rayon banner with a dragon coiling down its length, its body picked out in vivid dyed colour against a rich batik ground.
The dragon is a symbol of strength and good fortune in many traditions, a powerful figure for a banner. Made using the batik method, the design is first drawn in hot wax directly on the fabric, then coloured with natural dyes. After the wax is washed out and the fabric sun dried, the colours come alive. It is a bold gift for a fantasy fan or a boho bedroom.
Hang it on a wall, over a door or down a narrow stretch where a long drop looks best, or from a pole in a window. Keep it out of damp, and gently shake out dust now and then.
