How to choose a wall hanging
Measure your wall first. Our Double Cotton Bedspread and Wall Hanging designs, such as Classic Mandala, Bodhi Tree, Black Hamsa and Circle of Ages, are large enough to cover a bed, a sofa or a whole wall. For narrower spaces, a Chakra Drop Banner at 183x35cm hangs beautifully down a hallway or beside a window.
If you prefer art, the Buddha Paintings come in several designs, including Three Heads Black, Three Heads Gold Detail and Bronze and Blue Flower at 75x55cm.
How to hang a tapestry
- Use removable hooks, tape or a slim pole to protect your walls
- Hang it flat for a clean look, or drape it for a softer feel
- Iron on a low setting or steam to remove creases
- Keep it away from candles and heaters
What do the designs mean?
Mandalas are circular patterns used in meditation, the Bodhi tree is where the Buddha is said to have found enlightenment, and the hamsa hand is a protective charm. Choose the one that speaks to you, or match the colours in your room. A large piece also works as a throw for a sofa or a bed, so it is a flexible buy.
For a layered look, add a throw or cushion, a dreamcatcher and some soft lamps. Visit our home and décor collection for more.
Questions and answers
What size is a double bedspread wall hanging?
They are large cotton cloths, sized to cover a double bed or a big stretch of wall. Check the measurements on each product page before choosing a place to hang it.
How do I hang a wall tapestry without damaging walls?
Use removable adhesive hooks, a wooden pole or a slim curtain rail. Spread the weight evenly across several fixing points and test a small area first, especially on painted surfaces.
Can the bedspreads be used on a bed?
Yes. Many are sold as a bedspread and wall hanging in one, so you can use them either way. They are cotton, so wash according to the care label, usually on a gentle cool wash.
What does a mandala represent?
A mandala is a circular design used in Hindu and Buddhist traditions as a symbol of wholeness and a focus for meditation. Orders are dispatched within 1-2 working days, with free UK delivery over £40.
