Coloured Calcite Geode in Black Rock – Dark Red & Pink

About this piece

A calcite geode in dark red and pink, set in a black rock shell. Open it and the crystals inside glow in deep rose and berry tones, a vivid contrast to the dark outside.

Geodes are hollow stones in which crystals have formed over a long time, which makes each one unique. The colour on this piece is artificial, applied to the geode and the crystals inside, so it is a decorative piece rather than a natural-colour specimen. A bright, romantic gift for fans of bold colour.

Display it open on a shelf, desk or windowsill where the light can reach the crystals. Dust gently with a soft brush and keep it dry, as the colour is applied and could be affected by water.
