Crystal Ball on Stand – 150mm
About this piece
A 150mm crystal ball in high-quality optical glass, 15cm across and weighing about 5kg, on its own crystal stand. It is a statement piece, large and clear and utterly captivating when candlelight dances inside it.
The bigger the crystal ball, the more likely it is to have a flaw, so a large, clear one like this is something rare. It suits a dedicated scryer, a shopfront or a reading room, or anyone who wants a dramatic centrepiece for the room. As a gift, it is the kind of present that people keep for decades.
Set it on a sturdy surface with a dark cloth beneath the stand, and use soft, low light for scrying. An LED light box makes it glow. Keep it out of direct sunlight, as the glass can focus the sun's rays. Use both hands to lift it, and keep it in its protective box when moving house.
