Crystal Ball on Stand – 40mm
About this piece
A crystal ball just 40mm across, small enough to sit in the palm of your hand, with a crystal stand to hold it upright. The optical glass is polished until it is clear and bright, and a little window of light bends upside down inside it.
Scrying with a crystal ball is one of the oldest forms of divination, and a small one is a good place to begin. At 40mm and around 145g it suits a bedside table, a desk or a corner of a tarot table without crowding it. It is a charming gift for a friend who loves the idea of fortune-telling, or a stocking filler for a witchy teenager.
Place it on a dark cloth in soft light, relax your gaze and let your eyes unfocus until images or impressions come to mind. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as glass balls can focus light and cause damage. Wipe with a soft cloth.
