Hanging Brass Incense Burner – Pierced Thurible

About this piece

A brass thurible on chains, pierced with detailed cut-outs, lets smoke curl out in lazy ribbons as it swings. It has a traditional, ceremonial look and a warm brass glow. Because it hangs from chains, it can be set on a hook, a stand or carried through a room, with smoke trailing behind.

The thurible has been used for centuries to carry fragrant smoke through sacred spaces. This one adds atmosphere to rituals and meditation, and also makes a striking décor accent. It is a gift for a ritualist or collector. It is a good size for a first thurible, and an eye-catching ornament when it is not in use.

Burn charcoal, resin or incense inside, and hold it by the chain, away from the body, or rest it on a heatproof surface. Brass heats up in use, so let it cool before touching it. Never leave burning incense unattended.
