May Chang Essential Oil is sharp, sweet and lemony, a sparkling citrus-sherbet scent that is surprisingly bright and cheerful. Steam distilled from the small, pepper-like fruit of Litsea cubeba, this 10ml bottle is one of the most uplifting oils you can own.

May chang, sometimes called exotic verbena, comes from a small tree in China and South East Asia, and it is much loved for creating a cheering ambience when diffused. It is also a favourite for natural cleaning: blended with tea tree, it makes a fresh-smelling kitchen spray without any harsh disinfectant aroma. A lovely gift for anyone who loves zingy, happy scents.

Add a few drops to a diffuser or oil burner, or mix a few drops with water and tea tree oil in a spray bottle for worktops. Dilute before use on skin, as it can irritate sensitive skin. Avoid during pregnancy and keep out of reach of children. Never leave a lit burner unattended.
