About this piece
A delicate hummingbird captured mid-hover, reaching down as if to sip nectar. The fine detail of the wings and beak brings lightness, set against a raw parasite wood base.
The hummingbird is often seen as a symbol of joy and lightness, so this makes a delightful gift for a bird lover. Each piece is cut from naturally formed parasite wood, so grain, colour and shape vary.
Place it on a windowsill or shelf where the light can reach the wings. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. The raised wings give a sense of motion, and the piece looks lovely next to a vase of summer flowers or a trailing plant, a small reminder of long, bright days. Because the base is a natural piece of wood, it stands on any flat surface.
