Pro Djembe Drum – Freedom Rhythm, High Pitch, Small 30cm
About this piece
Bright and lively, the Small Pro Djembe in Freedom Rhythm speaks in crisp, higher tones that make a rhythm session feel instantly awake. At 30cm tall with a 15cm drum head, its carved wooden body has clean rhythmic line detailing and the Freedom Rhythm design on the head.
This is the high-toned version, quick and responsive under the fingers. The compact size makes it welcoming for beginners and children, and it is light enough to take to classrooms, festivals or friends' houses. It is an upbeat gift for a budding percussionist or anyone who likes to tap along to music.
Rest it between your knees and use open palms and fingertips near the rim for sharp slaps, then the centre for rounder notes. Start with a simple repeating pattern and add more as you grow in confidence. A few minutes of drumming makes a lively break in the day.
