Sage takes its Latin name, Salvia, from the word for to save, and it has been burned and carried in European folk practice for protection and wisdom. A fitting gift for a kitchen witch.

Add two or three drops to a diffuser or oil burner and let the sage scent drift through the room. For a simple blend, try it with rosemary or lavender. A little goes a long way, so start with one or two drops. Dilute before use on skin. Never leave a burner flame unattended. A small bottle goes a long way, so store it cool and dark, tightly capped and out of reach of children and pets.
