Soapstone Hamsa Incense Holder – Ganesha

About this piece

A small Hamsa hand in soapstone, with the elephant-headed Ganesha carved at its heart. At only 30g it is feather-light, and the carving gives the cool stone a rich, devotional feel.

Ganesha is revered in Hindu tradition as the remover of obstacles, and the Hamsa as a protective charm, so this holder doubles up on good wishes. It is a charming present for a house move, a new job or a friend about to begin something new.

Set your incense in place, light it and let the smoke drift up. Keep the holder on a heat-resistant surface, away from anything flammable. Never leave burning incense unattended. When cool, wipe away the ash with a soft dry cloth.
