Spanish Marjoram Essential Oil has a fresh, herbaceous, slightly camphorous aroma, strong and clear with a warm Mediterranean edge. Steam distilled from the leaves and flowering tops of Thymus mastichina, a wild thyme known as Spanish wild marjoram, this 50ml bottle is a characterful herbal oil.
Herbalists have used Spanish wild marjoram since ancient Greece, and the Greeks and Romans crowned bridal couples with wreaths of marjoram to symbolise love, honour and happiness. Singers once sipped marjoram tea with honey to protect their voices. In aromatherapy it blends beautifully with lavender and bergamot to create a relaxing environment. A lovely oil for herbal blends.
Add a few drops to a diffuser or oil burner, ideally with lavender or bergamot, or blend into a carrier oil for massage. Dilute before use on skin. Avoid during pregnancy and keep out of reach of children. Never leave a lit burner unattended.
