Carvone is the natural compound that gives spearmint its distinctive sweet scent, and this oil is rich in it. Spearmint has grown in British kitchen gardens for centuries and was strewn on floors in medieval halls to freshen the air. Its revitalising fragrance is said to lift the mood and help concentration.
