About this piece
A 16cm Tibetan-style singing bowl engraved with sacred mantra script around its side. The letters run like a ribbon around the metal, and the bowl has a warm, burnished glow.
Mantras are sacred sounds and phrases used for centuries in meditation, and engraved bowls bring them into the home. This bowl suits anyone with a mantra practice and makes a meaningful gift for a friend on a spiritual path. The tone and finish of each bowl vary slightly, as is common with handcrafted metalwork. It looks lovely on a shelf or altar between uses, next to a candle or a favourite crystal.
Rest the bowl on a cushion or your palm and circle the mallet around the rim until it sings. Pair the sound with a few moments of quiet. Wipe with a dry cloth.
