Vedic Incense Sticks – Basil
About this piece
Vedic Basil incense releases a fresh, green and slightly peppery fragrance, bright and herbal, like crushing a basil leaf between your fingers. Hand-rolled in Jaipur, each masala stick freshens a room with a clean, lively aroma.
Basil is held sacred in India, where holy basil grows in courtyards and is tended as part of daily prayer. These sticks are made by the Aromatika incense company in the tradition of Vedic teachings, with a thick masala paste rolled onto bamboo. A box makes a lovely gift for a cook, a gardener or a herb lover.
Light the tip, let it glow, then blow out the flame and place the stick in an incense holder. Burn it in the kitchen, near your houseplants or during morning prayer. Use a heat-proof surface and never leave burning incense unattended.
