About this piece
A brass singing bowl decorated with the Om symbol, measuring about 9 x 5cm and weighing 55kg. The tone is approx. 679 Hz, warm and gentle, and the bowl comes as a set.
Om is the sacred sound of yoga and meditation, so it is a fitting symbol for an instrument made to focus the mind. The set includes the bowl, mallet, ring pillow and carrying case, making it a great beginner's gift for a yoga lover.
Rest the bowl on the pillow, tap the rim with the wood end of the mallet or rub the padded end around the rim for a soft hum. It takes patience, and rewards you with a lovely tone.
