Antique-Style Carved Wooden Horse – 25cm
About this piece
A carved wooden horse in albasia wood, about 25cm tall, with intricate detail and a beautifully distressed finish that gives it the charm of a treasured antique. It looks as though it has stood on a farmhouse mantel for generations.
Horses have galloped through British folklore for centuries, from the chalk White Horse of Uffington to the hobby horses of May Day, symbols of freedom, strength and loyalty. This vintage-style piece suits rustic, farmhouse and eclectic interiors alike, and makes a lovely gift for a horse lover, a rider or a collector of folk art.
Display it on a shelf, mantelpiece or windowsill, or make it part of a centrepiece with candles and greenery. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Its compact size makes it easy to find the perfect spot.
