Backflow Incense Burner – Pineapple Mountain & Cascade Twin Design
About this piece
Two designs sit together on this ceramic backflow burner: a pineapple-topped mountain and a cascade. As the cones burn, twin streams of smoke fall and gather.
The pineapple is a traditional sign of welcome and hospitality, which makes this a lovely housewarming gift. The twin design means two cones at once, so it is good for sharing, for entertaining or for a larger room.
Light the tip of a backflow cone, let the flame go out, and rest the cone in place. The smoke is heavier than air and flows down in soft swirls, a quiet pleasure for a desk, shelf or bedside table. Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep a small dish nearby for spent cones, and enjoy the slow rhythm of the smoke.
