Backflow Incense Burner – Round to Square
About this piece
A round bowl transitions into a square base in this ceramic backflow burner, a clean, modern shape with no fuss. The smoke falls from the round top into the square below, a graceful shift of form.
Circle and square have long been paired in sacred design, representing sky and earth. It is a quietly meaningful burner for a modern home, and an easy gift for minimalists who prefer simple lines.
Set the burner on a flat, heatproof surface, light a backflow cone, and blow out the flame so it glows. Watch the heavy smoke tumble and pool below. Burning incense should never be left unattended, and keep it clear of anything flammable. A shelf, desk, bedside table or altar all make a good home for it.
