About this piece
Borage oil, known as starflower oil, is a light yellow oil with very little scent and a soft, slightly sweet tone. Its thin to medium texture makes it easy to blend into homemade skincare.
The bristly borage plant, with its star-shaped blue flowers, now grows in warmer parts of the world, and its oil is cold pressed from the seeds. This oil is sourced from Europe and is naturally very high in omega 6, up to 24 percent. The handy 50ml size is ideal for trying it in your own recipes.
Add a few drops to a face serum or cream, or blend with essential oils and another carrier for massage. Patch test before first use. Store in a cool, dark place and use within one year.
