About this piece
A large white ceramic burner with a tree cut-out, the branches picked out in light when the tealight burns. By day it is a pale, graceful sculpture; by night, a glowing tree.
Trees carry a lot of meaning in British folklore, from the hawthorn to the great oak, standing for shelter, strength and continuity. This larger burner suits fragrance oils and wax melts and makes a nice gift for gardeners and nature lovers.
Light a tealight in the base, add water and a few drops of your favourite fragrance oil to the bowl, or a wax melt to the dish if you prefer. Keep it on a heatproof mat, away from curtains and draughts. Never leave a lit burner unattended, and snuff the flame before you leave the room.
