Crystal Ball on Stand – 200mm
About this piece
A 200mm crystal ball, a monumental 20cm sphere of optical glass supplied with a crystal stand. It is the sort of object that changes a room, bright, clear and deep, with the whole space curved into its surface.
Making a flawless sphere this big is a real challenge, since the chance of a flaw grows with every centimetre, which is why the largest crystal balls are disproportionately costly. It is a spectacular centrepiece for a professional reader, a fortune-telling stall or a collector's cabinet. A truly memorable gift, it is also an impressive piece of décor.
Place it on a very stable surface with a dark cloth, and set it where it will not be knocked. Soft light or an LED light box underneath adds drama. Keep it out of direct sunlight, as glass can focus the sun. It is very heavy, so lift it with care and keep it in its foam-filled box when stored.
