Cypress Essential Oil in a 50ml bottle, crisp and evergreen with a soft, resinous depth. Steam distilled from the needles and twigs of the Mediterranean cypress, Cupressus sempervirens, it has a clean, outdoorsy aroma that feels both refreshing and steadying.
Cypress wood was used by the Phoenicians and Cretans to build ships and houses, by the Egyptians for sarcophagi and by the Greeks to carve statues of their gods. In myth it stands at the threshold between worlds, a tree of remembrance and transition. This generous size is ideal for regular blenders, and pairs beautifully with juniper, lavender and frankincense.
Diffuse a few drops in a quiet room, warm in an oil burner or blend with a carrier oil. Dilute before use on skin. Avoid during pregnancy and keep out of reach of children. Never leave a lit burner unattended.
