Extra Large Mango Wood Box – Buddha Bodhi Tree
About this piece
A generously sized mango wood box with the Buddha carved into the lid, seated beneath the spreading Bodhi Tree. The carving is intricate and hand-finished, and the warm tones of the wood glow on a shelf or dressing table.
In Buddhist tradition, the Bodhi Tree is where the Buddha sat to find enlightenment, so the scene stands for peace, patience and awakening. It is an apt keeper for meditation beads, crystals or letters you hold dear, and a meaningful gift for a yoga teacher, a friend starting a practice or anyone who values a quiet space.
Keep it on an altar or bedside table for malas, tarot cards or a collection of tumble stones, or use it for jewellery and keepsakes. Because it is hand-carved, no two boxes are exactly alike, and the grain of the mango wood will differ from piece to piece.
