Floating Candle – Lavender, Large

About this piece

The large lavender floating candle is a dipped-wax candle in a soft lavender-coloured shade, made to rest on the surface of water. Set in a bowl, it casts a gentle circle of light and a reflection that moves with every ripple.

Floating candles are a favourite for weddings and romantic table displays, where a handful of them in a glass bowl look instantly considered. They come unscented and dipped in colour, in a large and a small size, so you can mix them. It is a pretty choice for a bride, a host or someone with a love of soft purple.

Fill a wide, shallow bowl with water, lay the candle gently on top and light the wick. This size burns for 7 to 8 hours. Float several for a display, or use one on its own. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable.
