About this piece
A small Green Man face carved into a slice of tree trunk, his leafy brow and knowing eyes emerging from the natural wood. At 16x11x5cm, he is just the right size to watch over a windowsill, shelf or garden nook.
The Green Man is the ancient spirit of the forest, carved into the stonework of old British churches as a symbol of renewal and the turning year. This piece is fashioned in Bali from offcuts of Chinaberry and hibiscus trunks, so every face is unique. It makes a thoughtful gift for gardeners, folklore lovers and pagan friends.
Tuck him among pots on the patio, hang him on a fence among climbing plants, or set him on your altar at Beltane surrounded by fresh leaves and blossom. He looks equally at home indoors on a bookshelf.
