About this piece
An 15cm Hands Down Buddha in solid brass, with intricate red and turquoise stone-style accents across the robes. At 500g it feels weighty and well made, with a lovely golden sheen.
The hands down pose is traditionally associated with grounding, clarity and steadfastness, and it carries a long heritage. This figure is handcrafted in limited small batches by master craftspeople in Old Delhi, India. It makes a lasting gift for a friend setting up a sanctuary.
Set it on a sideboard, desk or altar to bring a grounded note to the room. A soft dry cloth is all it needs. Its compact size sits happily alongside crystals, incense or a small candle, and it looks lovely in the soft light of an afternoon window.
