Guggal Resin – 50g
About this piece
Dark, sticky pieces of guggal resin, which release a rich, balsamic and slightly sweet smoke once they meet hot charcoal. The scent is deep and incense-like, with a resinous weight that lingers.
Guggal, also called guggul, has long been burned in South Asia in temples and homes as part of ritual and ceremony. It is a distinctive gift for someone exploring resin incense, or for anyone who likes rich, traditional fragrances.
Light a charcoal disc with tongs and place it in a burner. When it turns grey at the edges, add a few small pieces of resin, perhaps over a layer of sand to absorb the heat. Keep it on a heat-resistant surface and never leave burning charcoal unattended.
