House Warming Oil Burner
About this piece
A ceramic oil burner made as a housewarming gift, simple and welcoming, with a warm glow from its tealight. It looks at home beside a front-door key bowl or on a new kitchen shelf.
Giving something for a new home is an old tradition, and a fragrance burner is a gift that makes it smell and feel like home from day one. It suits fragrance oils and wax melts. It is a thoughtful present for neighbours, friends or family moving in, and easy to wrap.
To use it, stand the burner on a heatproof mat, add a little water to the top bowl and a few drops of fragrance oil, then light a good-quality tealight beneath. As the water warms, the scent drifts softly into the room. Never leave a lit burner unattended, keep it away from curtains, and keep it out of reach of children.
