Hyssop Essential Oil has a sweet, warm, herbaceous aroma with a fresh, slightly camphor-like lift. Steam distilled from the leaves and flowering tops of Hyssopus officinalis, this 50ml bottle brings a clean, aromatic herbal note to blends.
Hyssop has one of the longest histories of any herb, named in the Psalms as a plant of purification and grown in monastery gardens across medieval Europe. In folk magic it is still traditionally associated with cleansing a space and preparing for ritual. A meaningful oil for experienced blenders, herbalists and anyone drawn to old, sacred plants.
Use sparingly: add a drop or two to a diffuser or oil burner, blended with lavender or citrus, or a little to a carrier oil. Dilute before use on skin. Avoid during pregnancy and do not use if you have epilepsy or high blood pressure. Keep out of reach of children. Never leave a lit burner unattended.
