Kashaka Shaker – Ocean
About this piece
Painted in a rich ocean blue, this Kashaka shaker has glossy wooden spheres that flash as they spin around your hand. The sound is a quick, layered clicking and shaking that can feel hypnotic or lively, depending on how you move.
Handcrafted and inspired by deep ocean tones, the shaker is played by rotating the connected balls around the hand. It is easy for beginners to pick up and enjoyable for experienced percussionists. The glossy finish makes it a pretty decorative piece when not in use, and a good gift for a music lover or anyone who loves the sea.
Hold the handle and turn your wrist in small circles, letting the balls swing and knock. Start slowly, then speed up for a lively rhythm. Use it during music sessions, mindfulness practice or just for fun.
