Money Cat – Very Large, 25.5cm
About this piece
A very large lucky waving cat, 25.5cm tall, with a cheerful painted face and one paw raised high, waving steadily back and forth. It is the grand version of the much-loved charm, made to be seen.
Known as maneki-neko, the beckoning cat is a traditional symbol from Japan and China, believed to wave in good fortune, prosperity and friendship. Made from porcelain and plastic, this generous size makes a bold statement on a shop counter, reception desk or hallway table. It is a fun gift for a new business, a restaurant opening or a housewarming.
Place it near the entrance, facing in, so it can greet everyone who arrives. It runs on two AA batteries (not included), and there is no on/off switch, as it is designed to wave constantly. The battery compartment has no cover, so keep it away from small children.
