Lucky Waving Money Cat – Classic, 17.5cm
About this piece
The classic lucky waving cat, 17.5cm tall, with a cheerful face and one paw raised in endless welcome. It is the familiar figure you see smiling from shop windows and restaurant counters around the world.
Known as maneki-neko, the beckoning cat is a traditional charm from Japan and China, believed to wave in good fortune, prosperity and friendship for its owner. This classic version is made from porcelain and plastic, with a waving arm powered by a battery. It makes a cheerful gift for a new business, a housewarming or anyone who could use a little extra luck.
Place it by the front door, on a shop counter or on your desk, facing into the room. It is designed to wave constantly, so there is no on/off switch, and the battery compartment has no cover, so keep it away from small children.
